Kibitsu Shrine, believed to have been built in ancient times, is considered the guardian deity protecting the residents of Okayama region.

Kibitsu Shrine is a representative photography spot deeply associated with Okayama City and Momotaro. The main hall and worship hall of the shrine feature a unique architectural style known as "Kibitsu-zukuri," designated as a national treasure. Particularly noteworthy is the shrine's 360-meter-long corridor, another highlight for visitors. The spacious grounds of the shrine are adorned with peonies, ginkgo trees, and plum groves, allowing visitors to enjoy the colors of nature in different seasons. Notably, around June each year, approximately 1,500 hydrangea plants bloom, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
