Nara Ukimido Pavilion [NARA / JAPAN]
The floating Ukimido Pavilion Standing quietly in the Sagiike Pond within Nara Park is the octagon Ukimido Pavilion. Built in 1916 and renovated in 1994, it is transformed into the appearance today. The main structure of the Ukimido Pavilion is hexagonal and has simple Japanese styled bridges. Floating on the water, Ukimido Pavilion is filled with grace and elegance. Surrounding the Sagiike Pond are cherry blossoms that bloom in the Spring and red leaves in Autumn, each season with unique surprises.
